This policy explains what HomieHelp collects, why, and what you can do about it. HomieHelp is a marketplace that connects customers who need household work done with nearby professionals who can do it.

Because the controller is established in Spain, this policy is written to meet the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish data protection law (LOPDGDD).

When a job is finished, the customer enters the cash amount they paid and the professional receives that many points. Points are a reputation score only. They are not currency, cannot be redeemed, transferred or withdrawn, and have no monetary value.
We do not sell your data. We use these providers, who process it only on our instructions:

Our providers are based in the United States and store data on servers there. These transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. You can ask us for a copy of the safeguards using the contact address above.
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
Write to support@homiehelp.com. We reply within one month. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), or to the authority where you live.
You can delete your account yourself in the app: Profile → Delete account. It takes effect immediately. If you can't use the app, email support@homiehelp.com from the address on your account and we will do it for you. See homiehelp.com/delete-account.
Deleting your account removes your profile (and professional profile), your open requests and unanswered offers, your photos and your notifications. Jobs in progress are cancelled and the other person is told. Finished jobs and their messages stay in the other person's history for the period in section 6, and reviews you wrote stay without your name. A store subscription is not cancelled by deleting your account: cancel it in your App Store or Google Play settings.
Data is encrypted in transit. Access is enforced by server-side security rules: your address and contact details are only reachable by you and by the professional working on your job, chat is limited to the two people in that conversation, and reputation data can only be written by our servers, never by an app on someone's phone.
HomieHelp is for adults and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
